In addition to what's here on our Web site, Sew Much Smarter also includes a mobile quilt studio set up with Handi Quilter mid- and long-arm machines and a variety of quilting supplies. If you live in western Montana, Idaho or eastern Washington, contact us about coming to your area.

Sew Much Smarter, located in the Missoula, Montana area, is owned by Susan Favro. Susan has sewn since she was a child. She started in garment sewing but also enjoyed hand embroidery, needlepoint and crocheting. Life sped up (husband, kids, career, etc.) and Susan set aside her sewing to keep up with it. In about 2002 she started an equestrian supply business and once again plugged in her sewing machine to make several products sold in the store.

Then she took a quilting class. Wow, what a wonderful world of color and design opened up! When she finished her first quilt she decided that her favorite parts of quilting were the first cut of the fabric, the last stitch of the binding - and all the parts in between. She was hooked!

Since that first quilting class Susan has immersed herself in learning quilt techniques and sewing/quilting-related software. In 2010 she began teaching classes in western Montana related to Bernina sewing machines and sergers, machine embroidery software and general quilting classes.

Sew Much Smarter is now Susan's full time business with a focus on finding cool tools that will not only enhance your quilting projects but will also increase your enjoyment of the quilting process.
